A slow Internet connection, simulate
- Download the latest Version of the Speed Limiter down. You install the Software.
- You open the program. You can set the language under "settings" > "language" to English.
- Under the "Simulate speed" to give you the speed that you want to test (e.g. a 56k Modem).
- In "Host" enter the website you want to test with a low Internet speed. This can be your localhost to be (i.e. your web server) or a site like "www.chip.de". Leave the Port on 80.
- In the field "Additional settings" put a check mark at "support for HTTP Virtual Host". You set the local Port to 8081.
- Allow, where appropriate, the "Speed Limiter" in your Firewall. Click "allow access" in the Windows security alert window.
- Now click on "Activate" and start your Browser on the "launch default Browser".
