The photoTAN works
Many banks offer next to mTAN, chipTAN, smsTAN, and pushTAN the photoTAN. The method brings an increased security, but also poses dangers.

How safe is the photoTAN is?
- By the photoTAN you can use for your Transfers to both your Computer and your Smartphone. The risk is distributed on two devices and, therefore, minimized. Stiftung Warentest rated the security in Banking-Test as "high" a and if a reader is used, even as a "very high".
- However, there are also risks, if you are using a Smartphone: mobile phones are easy to hack, so that the attacker can take control of the particular Banking App. Such Codes can be used for other Transfers generate.
