Skype-adding contacts: 3 variants
To find friends and Acquaintances on Skype, there are three different paths leading to the goal:
- On the menu bar > add contacts > "contact" > "Skype user directory to search" (see Screenshot).
- By using the search field above your contact list: Here you can browse your contact list. If you don't have the contact in the list, then click on the Link "In the Skype user directory to search".
- Via the Button "add contact" button below your contact list.

Found contact in the list
Click on the Person you are looking for and have the appropriate Skype profile appears. There, you just have to click in the upper-right corner, click "add to contacts" (see Screenshot). Your friend will then receive a contact request, which he must confirm.
