The protection of children FreeTime set up on the Kindle
With Kindle FreeTime blocks access to the Kindle store, the Browser and Wikipedia. Children can also read the books, you set them in a personalized Extra-profile. And to enable the protection of children:
- Tap on the Kindle home page, on the FreeTime icon on the bottom right. Alternatively, tap the menu icon and select "Kindle FreeTime".
- Tap on the Option "First steps".
- Now you can set a password and confirm. You have already set a password, you must enter it now.
- Then, you set up a profile for your child: To do this, enter the name, date of birth, and gender and tap on "Next". You can also upload a photo of your child.
- There is a list of all of your books in your Kindle library will appear.
- Select the Box next to the eBook to add it to the library of your child. The selected books to your child can visit later. Tap "OK" to apply the Changes.
- Now you can set a daily limit: press the right or left arrow to set how many minutes is allowed to read to your child every day.
- You do not want to use the function, press and hold the left arrow until you reach a switch see.
- Tap "Done" to save your settings and create the profile.
- The Option "Other Profiles" set up any additional Profiles for your children. The maximum number is currently four different Accounts.
- To read with FreeTime, you can simply open the respective profile.
