Push Service the Fritzbox: The preparations
In order for the Push-Service of the Fritzbox, you need to enable the Feature first, and your E-Mail address. This will later be sent the notifications.
- First step is to call the Fritzbox user interface in your Browser and enter your Router password.
- In the left menu, click "System" on "Push Service".
- Then click right below on the blue Link "Push Service" or, alternatively, on the tab "sender".
- Enter in the first box, your E-Mail address, and, in the second the password of your E-Mail account.
- Now, click the two fields on the "account information - additional settings" and enter in "E-Mail user name" your user name.
- In the field "SMTP Server" the SMTP Server of your Mail provider and in the "Port" to the corresponding Port. The data you learn in to your E-Mail provider. For the most common Mail-Provider, we have summarized the SMTP Server and Port in the third paragraph for you.
- Finally, you enable the Option "This Server supports a secure connection (SSL)", if the Server supports it, and click "Next".
- You will then receive a Test Mail to your Account. The Test succeeds, you can click again on "Next".

After the above steps, the Push Service is ready to use. Click in the user interface of your Fritz box under "System" on "Push Service", you can activate in the tab of the individual services. You have the following options to choose from:
- FRITZ!Box-Info: the use of the Push Service sends you regular Mails with the usage and connection data of the Fritzbox. Via the pencil icon, you can specify the exact information and the interval.
- Voicemail: Enable this Option to get the messages on your answering machine via Push Mail.
- Calls: This Push-Service you are informed to Call immediately in case of missed.
- Wi-Fi guest access: this feature sends you to the Fritzbox information to login and logout of devices on the wireless guest access.
- New FRITZ!OS: Herewith you will receive a notification once a new Version of the Fritzbox system is available.
- Save settings: select this Feature to get before each Update a backup of your settings via E-Mail. You can in case of data loss restore use.
- Forgot password: if you forget your password for the Fritzbox interface, you can access the link via Mail and the password then change it.
- Current IP address: This Push Service that sends every rebuild of the Internet connection by the Internet provider assigned IP address.
- Change notice: Enable this Option to have an E-Mail if you change a setting, or events send potentially security-relevant.
