Without Browser: Firefox via FTP download
If you are able to download the Setup file for Firefox on a different PC with a different Browser, you should access the official Firefox FTP Server:
- Start the command prompt, type: Open with [Windows] + [R] the Run window and type in "cmd". Confirm with [Enter].
- The following entries and confirm each with [Enter]:
- Type in "ftp ftp.mozilla.org" to the Firefox FTP Server.
- As the user name, enter "anonymous".
- As the password you can enter anything. For example, "test" or "firefox".
- If you protect your computer with a Firewall, give you turn on the "literal pasv" to the Passive Mode.
- Now, type "get \pub\firefox\releases\latest\win32\EN\Firefox Setup 35.0.1.exe" to the Setup file for Firefox 35.0.1 download. You can also download newer versions with the appropriate version number.

Mozilla FTP Server: tips and Tricks
If you want to look on the FTP-Server a bit, help you with the following tips:
- After one Minute without input, you will be kicked out of the Server. A re-connection with "open ftp.mozilla.org".
- The contents of a directory listing, use "ls".
- To select a directory: "cd (the directory)"
- A directory: "cd.."
- To download a file, you use "get (file)".
- Terminate the connection with "quit".
