Even a well-intentioned marking on a Facebook Post you want to remove maybe. In this point, is Facebook better than its reputation - because in the Social network, you can protect some of the settings of your privacy.

So you remove tags on Facebook

In your Facebook-profile or under "photos" > "photos of You" you can find pictures on which they were marked. So go ahead against unwanted markings:
  • Click on the image to open the photo in the single view. At the bottom of the screen, various tabs are visible; there go to "options". Alternatively, click on the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the photo.
  • In the now visible drop-down menu, select "log in as mark/remove".
  • In a new window, you'll be asked: "What should happen?" Put a check in the "I want to UNTAG myself" and confirm the action by clicking on "remove marker".
  • You want to delete tags from multiple photos, it is about the activity log the easiest way. On the home page of your account, you can reach this via the Gear icon "settings".
  • In the left navigation bar of the Activity log, go to "photos" > "photos of You". Here you can select several photos. At the top of the page, then click "report/remove tag" and confirm remove in the next dialog box, "marking photos".
Back in the anonymity
You want to have control on what photos you are tagged, you must choose the appropriate privacy settings under the "timeline and tagging settings". What you see here and in other critical privacy settings should note, you can use the practice tip "privacy on Facebook - the best 3 tips" reference.
