5 Euro coin: Limited means of payment with characteristics
The orange colored polymer ring attracts the attention of the year's 5 Euro coin on themselves. But the combination with the copper-Nickel alloy makes the coin a real world novelty. It is, therefore, tamper-proof and resistant against heat, cold, water, chemicals and UV rays. Just like its predecessor, also the orange coin, is called "Subtropical Zone", with a diameter of 1.5 mm larger and 0.5 grams heavier than a conventional Two-Euro coin.
Can be paid, so that, at least in Germany, with a 5-Euro note. There is also this year only a limited edition of the coin, it is not recommended, however: an increase in the value of the predecessor is to be expected.

Already in 2016, a coin was issued with shimmering polymer ring and was thus the Start of the series. Under the name "Blue Planet" and with a matching blue Ring is the first of the six to 2021 planned coins came on the market. The back is the same for all coins the same and similar to the 1-Euro-coin: Federal eagle, value number and name, the embossing year and the 12 European stars as well as the Federal eagle. The only difference is here: Instead of "Unity and right and freedom" can be found on the edge of the logo "climate zones of the earth."
