Laptop and Notebook are the differences
- The first difference between the two terms lies in the name: "Notebook" means a note book", while" Laptop "translated" to free as much translated as "lap computer" is called.
- A Notebook is quite easy and often not very large. It fits like a notebook in every bag. This, however, can come at the expense of the equipment: So Notebooks usually have no CD drive, less interfaces and less processing power.
- A Laptop, however, is a rather heavy machine with a large screen and can replace a Stand-PC almost. The disadvantage of the higher weight is compensated for by power and a plurality of terminals.
- Today, the two terms are often confused and the difference is no longer as relevant as before. With increasingly powerful processors and the decrease in the effective importance of CD-drives is blurring the boundaries between Notebook and Laptop apparently.
- Ultimately, there is hardly a manufacturer or dealer, of the distinction between the two terms. Therefore, Laptop "and" Notebook "are used" today, often completely synonymous.
