If the PC is running, but the screen remains black, does not necessarily mean that the video card or the Monitor are defective. In this practical tip we show you a few Tricks on what you can do, so you might get an image on the Monitor.

1. The cable connections check

Eventurell the video cable to the Monitor or the video card loose. As a result, no Signal can arrive, and the screen remains black. Check, therefore, as a first approach, the connection between the graphics card and Monitor. For security, you can also check whether the power cable of the monitor is seated properly.

2. The video cable is defective?

Possibly the video cable is defective. To exclude, you can replace this - if a replacement is available.

3. The Monitor to another video card to connect

Often PCs have integrated in addition to the main graphics card to another graphics card on the motherboard. This should be at your computer in the case, connect the video cable to the other graphics card on the Mainboard, to check if you get so maybe a picture.
