Hard drive on the Synology NAS format – so it goes
- You start the NAS as usual and log in with your password.
- Then open the "control panel" and click on "Update and restore".
- Here you need to select the Option "Backup and restore". As a result, the NAS will reset the System to factory settings.
- In this process, all data on the NAS will be erased and the programs reset.
- Wait until the process is complete. Do not turn off the NAS and unplug it from the electricity network or from the network to generate no errors.
