Raspberry Pi: setting up wifi - so it goes
- To be able to your Raspberry Pi with a Wi-Fi connect, you need an appropriate Stick. These usually cost under 10 Euro.
- A popular WLAN Stick for the Raspberry Pi is about the Edimax EW-7811UN.
- Plug the Stick into a USB Port on the Raspberry Pi and install the netctl Package. The APT using the command "sudo apt-get install netctl" or under Arch Linux via Pacman with the command "pacman -S netctl" in the Terminal Emulator.
- Then enter in Terminal Emulator the term "wifi-menu" without the quotes.
- Select the appropriate Wi-Fi access and, if necessary, enter your password.
- The profile is stored In the folder path,/etc/ netctl / and can optionally be edited later.
- The Status of the command "netctl status" check.
