Printer FritzBox connect

You want to give to your printer for the entire network, you can connect to your FritzBox. To do this, you must first activate the port of the printer in the Fritzbox, and then the Printer set up. We will show you how to do it.

Step 1: connect the printer in to the box to activate

  1. Open the user interface fritz.box and log in with your password.
  2. Click the links in the Navigation on the "home network" and then select the item "USB-devices".
  3. Now click on the tab "USB remote connection".
  4. There, deactivate the Option "printers (incl. Multi-function printer)".
  5. To apply your Changes, click on the Button "Apply".
  6. Connect the printer with your FritzBox.

Step 2: the printer on the PC as a network printer set up

  1. Open the control panel and select "Hardware and Sound" category in "devices and printers".
  2. Click on the Button "add a printer", it opens a small window. Click below on the button "The printer is not listed".
  3. Select the Option "printer using the TCP/IP address or a host name add".
  4. Use as IP-address "fritz.box" and follow the further instructions of the wizard.
