Network discovery will not turn on – what to do?
- First, make sure that you have the latest drivers for your network card installed. To check this, you can start Windows Update or on the website of the manufacturer's switch.
- There may also be a Problem with the selected connection. When using a LAN, try connecting to wifi and Vice versa.
- So that you can turn on the network discovery, you must be running different services. Go to the "control panel" > "administrative tools" > "services".
- You search the list for "DNS Client", "Function discovery resource publication," "SSDP discovery" and "UPnP device host". This must be marked as "running".
- If this is not the case, you need to right-click on the services and any individual with a click on "Start".
- In some cases, special characters or umlauts in the network name for this Problem. You can therefore change the network name in the Router menu, so no umlauts or special characters are present.
- Or is it the Firewall: Some Firewalls may block the communication between the Router and the PC. Turn off the power of this test.
