Microphone test
- Open the audio recorder on your PC. Under Windows 7, this is located in the programs under "accessories".
- In Windows 8, tap the Apps menu in the "audio recorder" and open the program.
- You create with the Mini-Tool a recording.
- Play the Sound File afterwards. If you hear nothing, then proceed to the next section.

Set up a microphone properly
- Open the "control panel" and click on "Hardware and Sound".
- You "Sound select" and click on the "recording"tab.
- Check here to see if your microphone is selected as the default. If this is not the case, select it and click "set As default".
- Then click the "properties" of the microphone and check if "level" is a plus value is given.
- Then click in the "recording" tab on "Configure" and then on "speaker recognition start".
- You determine the type of your microphone and click "Next".
- In the following window you can speak the Text displayed and then click on "Next". Your microphone is now set correctly.
