Difference between Blu-ray and DVD, Higher optical quality of the Blu-ray
- A clear optical difference between the two media is immediately visible. With an up to five-fold higher resolution compared to the DVD, the Blu-Ray offers a gigantic look.

- The reason for these qualitative benefits is the storage space of the medium. On Blu-ray 25 GB (Single Layer) or 50 GB (Dual Layer) can be saved. The DVDs only store 4.7 GB or 8.5 GB.
