Galaxy S5 no longer goes to: deep discharge?
It may be that the phone is discharging. In the case of short Charging does not help.
- Remove the battery and the charging cable and wait a few minutes.
- Put the battery back in and connect the charging cable.
- Allow the device up to three hours. It should turn on by then or not.
- If not, try the Smartphone to manually turn it on.

A defective battery or a broken charging cable can be responsible for the issue.
- You can test and if possible another battery. If in your environment, no Galaxy-S5-battery is available, you can go into a phone shop and ask for help.
- The same applies for the charging cable: try another cable or try your cable on another device, a Defect of the cable to exclude.
- Thus, the battery of your Galaxy S5 lasts longer, you should always properly charge.
S5 cannot reset the device
If the Problem is not with the described steps is solved, you should, the Galaxy S5 reset to factory settings:
- Press simultaneously the volume up button, the On/off button and the Home Button and hold it until a menu appears on the screen.
- You navigate with the volume down key and select "wipe data/factory reset" and confirm with the key.
- The warning message you can also confirm with the end key. Caution: The operation will delete all your personal data on the Smartphone.
- The process takes a few minutes and the Galaxy S5, it is then automatically restarted.
