Parental control on the "Limited profile", unfortunately, is only for Tablets with Android 4.3
On Smartphones there is no possibility for different users to create profiles. Here you have to rely on an App. For instructions, see to in paragraph 2. With an Android Tablet from Version 4.3 you can create restricted user profiles:
- To do this, tap "settings". There, under "users", select "restricted profile".
- In the now shown list of all installed Apps will be displayed. Turn ON the Apps to be in the restricted profile.
- With some Apps, you will be notified directly in the list, the App is not supported in restricted profiles. In the case of a parental control App helps you. In the second section more.
- Select "users" again to your profile to change the account.

Parental control for Android-Smartphone using Apps
On your Smartphone, you can set up parental controls on various Apps. We explain to you how it works with Kids Place.
- Download "Kids Place With child lock" and start the App on the Smartphone of your child.
- You accept the end user license agreements.
- Click in the Startup window, click "set a PIN" and enter a four-digit PIN. To save the PIN, click "PIN update".
- In the following window you must specify your E-Mail for PIN recovery. You can leave a note on your PIN. Then click "Continue".
- Kids Place is now started. First tap on "home button lock", where you should put a check mark. To lock the device the home button through a temporary redirection to Kids Place. In the opened window click on "home button lock".
- Now you will be asked if you want to perform this action by default with the App. Tick the box and click on "Kids Place".
- The launch window opens again. Click on "select apps for Kids Place". It is an Overview of all the Apps on the Smartphone is already open. Select the Apps that may benefit your child. Click on "Finish".
- Since your child does not know the PIN, can't quit this App and not the settings (via the menu button accessible) open.
- To open Kids Place also by default, when you restart the smartphone, click the menu button and choose "settings". Enter your PIN, and you set in the settings menu, a check mark in the "startup Kids".
- In these settings, you can lock for example the "Marketplace". Functions in Apps that access the Play Store, so locked. This Option blocks including the Install Apps.
- You want to exit Kids Place again, then click on the menu button and select "Exit". Enter the PIN and confirm.
