Google Maps: setup link on the home screen
- You can open with your Android device, the Browser and type in the search bar "Google Maps".
- Select the hit "Google Maps". There is a window with the note "action appears now to perform with". Here you can choose between the Browser and the Google Maps App.
- Select "Chrome" and confirm your selection by tapping on "Always". You have done this, you will be redirected to the mobile Browser Version of Google Maps.
- In the next step, tap on the three little dots at the top right to open the settings. Here you can choose "add To start screen".
- It will then set up a shortcut to the Browser Version of Google Maps on your Homescreen. As soon as you tap on the link, open your Android device on Google Maps in your Browser.
