Windows XP: to set up a connection to the Internet
The easiest way the setup works via the wizard.
- On "Start" to go to "control panel" and then to "network and Internet connections".
- Once there, click on "set up your Internet connection and change".
- In the dialog window "Internet properties" click on "Setup" to start the wizard. Click on "Next".
- In the following window, select "connect to the Internet" and click on "Next".
- Afterwards, the window "preparing to follow". Select set up here, "my connection manually" and confirm with "Next".
- For a DSL connection, select in the following window, "connect using a broadband connection, the user name and password required".
- After clicking on "Next" the user name and password are requested. Enter the data you received from your Internet provider.
- Your information is correct, click "Next" to the window to complete the setup.
