Files on Windows Phone to view
In spite of the restrictions, you have a few ways to work on your Windows Phone with files.
- The files you see may, you, for example, with the free App "File Explorer" (See Screenshot). This offers among other things also access the SD-card, HTTP file Transfer and connection to OneDrive, and Dropbox.
- Using Cloud Apps you can move files without cable from the PC to your phone, share it with others and see it anywhere. The Integration of OneDrive into the Windows Phone operating system and also in the Desktop-Windows is very well managed. The OneDrive App is available in our download area. With CloudSix is a DropBox app in the Windows Store to find.
- The files that you see in your local store, you can see also the corresponding Apps for music and Videos, or Office files and edit them.
- In June 2014, Microsoft released for devices with Windows Phone 8.1 or the developer version on an official File Manager called "Files". This will create the files and folders on phone and SD card, edit, move and delete files, provided that the access is allowed.
