Windows Media Player uninstalling - how to

In the case of Windows, the Media Player is pre-installed already. But if you want to use a different Player and the Media Player uninstall, we will show you how it works.

To uninstall the Windows Media Player

Follow these five steps to remove Windows Media Player from your System.
  1. Under "Start" > "control panel" > "programs", open "programs and features".
  2. In the left sidebar, you can find the Option "turn Windows features on or off". Select this - it will open a new window then.
  3. Expand the view under "media features".
  4. There you deactivate the checkmark next to "Windows Media Player". A window will open, you must confirm with "Yes" will open.
  5. Then confirm the window with OK, and restart your Computer. Then the Windows Media Player is uninstalled.

Install Windows Media Player again
