Windows 8.1-keyboard layout for the Login change
After Windows 8.1 is fresh installed, you need to log in with your Microsoft account again to log on. It may not happen that Windows accepted the password and the login stubbornly refuses to have even though you are sure the correct Login is entered.
- Your password contains special characters or the letter "Y" or "Z", can be due to an incorrect keyboard setting.
- After installing the English keyboard layout in Win 8.1, namely, the default - i.e., Y and Z, as well as many other characters are then reversed. This you see on the login screen at the lettering CLOSELY in the bottom right next to the on/off Button.
- Click on the string CLOSELY, it should switch the display to ENG - all the letters are back at the usual place and you can type in your password correctly.
