To activate your Firewall under Windows 8
A Firewall protects your Computer from possible attacks, which is why you should the Firewall always be enabled. Proceed to activation as follows:
- You move the mouse in the upper-right corner of the screen and click the Search box. Type in "system control" and press Enter.
- It is a new window of the system control window opens. Here you can search for the "Windows Firewall" and click on it.
- Select the left edge of the screen "Windows Firewall on or off". You will now see a variety of network types, for which you can set up a Firewall.
- You can enable the Firewall by clicking on the appropriate icon (see Screenshot). You are now may be asked for a confirmation or Administrator password. Enter and confirm the activation.
- Repeat this procedure with the other networks equally, until you have activated all the Firewalls.
