The own IP address in the network to find out under Windows 7
You want to find out the IP address that the Router assigned automatically, proceed as follows:
- Click "Start" and search for "Run".
- Enter in the command line, type the command "cmd". After that, the console opens.
- In the console, enter the command "ipconfig" (without the quotation marks). There is a list with all Connections, your Computer will appear. Search here for the name of your router (for example "fritz.box").
- Under the item "IPv4 address" to find the IP address of your Computer is reachable on the network.
