Windows 7: Shared folders to create

Starting with Windows 7, you can quickly and easily create shared folders or existing folders for individual users to share. Moving individual files via a USB Stick from PC to PC eliminates so - practical.

Sharing folders in Windows

  1. Select an existing folder or create a New one and call up the "properties" by right-clicking on the folder.
  2. Now select the tab "sharing" that leads you to the sharing options of the folder.
  3. Here you can add individual users or the folder to the entire network. The shared folder will appear to other users or computers in my computer under "shared".
  4. In the table under "permission level" Read and write permissions for individual users to set.
  5. Finally, you need to confirm this by clicking on "Share".
