Wi-Fi in Windows 7 to connect
- Right-click in the taskbar on the network icon.
- The wireless networks in your area will be displayed directly.
- Click on the device name of your router and select "Connect".
- You will then be prompted for the network security key to enter.
- Confirm via "Ok". The connection is then made.

Setting up a wireless network manually
- Click with the right mouse button on the network icon in the task bar.
- Select "network and sharing center open".
- Click manage on the left click "wireless network, and then click "Add".
- In the new window with the name "Manually connect to a wireless network" select "network profile manually".
- Then enter the network name, security and encryption type and security key. This information can be found in your Router configuration. Set if necessary, start a check mark in the "This connection automatically and click "Next".
- The network is now added. You can see it in the "manage wireless networks"screen.
