Code 28 – so you have to fix the driver Error
This error message appears in the device Manager if the device driver is not available. Below, we tell you what you should do about it:
- In the device Manager are all the devices listed, which is connected to the PC are.
- So this can work correctly, you need a driver.
- A driver could not be found, however, this error message is returned with the Code 28.
- To fix the error, you can simply change to the manufacturer's website of each device and download the suitable driver download.
- In the case of important devices such as the graphics card or other devices, you can refer to the latest drivers via Windows Update.
- After you have installed the driver and restarted the PC, it should be gone from the error.
- Note: this Is not the case, you may have installed the wrong driver (32 - or 64-Bit).
- In some cases, a driver is also already on a different hard drive partition. Here, too, a reinstall of the driver is the easiest way.
