Skype uninstall
- Open the control panel. In Windows 7, open the start menu and select control panel from the list on the right. In Windows 8, switch to the home screen and then tap "control panel" on the keyboard. Select the right in the search results, select "control panel".
- Now select the entry "programs and features" or in the category view, "uninstall programs".
- Look for the entry "Skype" and click with the right mouse button.
- Select "Uninstall" and follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
Remnants of Skype delete
After Uninstalling some files from Skype on the Computer are still available. To get rid of Skype completely, you need to delete the related files and registry entries.
- Open the folder "ProgramData" on your computer's hard drive and delete the folder "Skype".
- Now open the Eigabeaufforderung with [Windows key] + [R], type "regedit" and confirm with "OK".
- Top left, click "edit" and select "search". Type "Skype" in the search box and click "find next".
- Delete all Skype entries, by clicking with the right mouse button and select "Delete".
