Set up email account in Outlook Express or Windows Mail
At the first Start of Outlook Express automatically starts a wizard that lets you set up step by step, your E-Mail account. For additional accounts, click the "tools" menu and select "accounts". With a click on "Add" to enter a new Mail account:
- Follow the instructions in the wizard. Are required Name, email address, Server and password.
- If the E-Mail Server do not know, you can find here the matching data.
- Then, you need only to enter your user name and your password and confirm.

SMTP authentication and SSL connection
Some Mail Provider (e.g. Gmail) to offer a secure connection by, for example, an SSL encryption. The wizard of "Outlook Express" or "Windows Mail" does not poll these settings, so you subsequently need to set up.
- To do this, click in the menu bar, click "tools" and then on "accounts".
- There is a window with your established E-Mail accounts opens. Select the desired account with a double click.
- If your email Provider requires SMTP authentication, make the "Server" tab check the box "my Server requires authentication".
