More ways to troubleshoot
If the manual installation does not fix the error either, use the Windows troubleshooter.
- Call up the troubleshooter by opening the settings and clicking on "Update & Security".
- Under "Troubleshooting" you find all known problems. Click on the "Run the troubleshooter" button for "Windows Update". The problems are then analyzed by the system and, if possible, corrected.
- If this is not successful either, faulty system files can also be the cause of the error.
- To fix, open the command prompt with administrator rights and enter the command "sfc /scannow".
