More ways to troubleshoot

If the manual installation does not fix the error either, use the Windows troubleshooter.

  1. Call up the troubleshooter by opening the settings and clicking on "Update & Security".
  2. Under "Troubleshooting" you find all known problems. Click on the "Run the troubleshooter" button for "Windows Update". The problems are then analyzed by the system and, if possible, corrected.
  3. If this is not successful either, faulty system files can also be the cause of the error.
  4. To fix, open the command prompt with administrator rights and enter the command "sfc /scannow".
