My Windows 8 has four corners - operation via mouse
- Basic controls remain the same in Windows 8 largely identical to the "old" operating systems. However, Microsoft has now hidden in all four corners of your screen practical menus (Charms Bar, start screen and the last opened Apps) that you often like to be able to access.
- On the touch screen of Win 8 Tablets, this is extremely practical - you have to tap here in the corner.
- On a "classic" PC or Notebook, the operation is not quite so easy. Both via Touchpad, as well as the Hardware mouse you have to maneuver the Cursor for this relatively slow in the corners - where the conventional mouse is a good piece faster than the Touchpad on a laptop.
- When you Switch between Win8 Apps, or swipe gesture for Stop an App, you will notice that these input methods originally designed for the Touchscreen, are designed to work. Here, too, mouse and Touchpad deductions in the B(edien) get touch.
New Windows - old keyboard
- In terms of text input have been made in the case of Windows 8 there have been no dramatic changes. The keyboard works as normal - even special keys or key combinations with the "Fn button" (done usually next to the left CTRL key) of your service as in the past.
- The real kicker, though: The barely-used and acclaimed Windows key in the bottom row. This gets in to Windows 8, your great appearance - a click on it brings you out of any Situation directly back to the Homescreen.
Conclusion: When all the Embroidery snap - back to the familiar Desktop
In General, you need not be afraid of a system to change: Windows 8 operated with keyboard and mouse very comfortable - some of the new Gestures work but only on the touch screen is really intuitive. Who doesn't like to find yourself with that handle, but you can always switch back in the "classic" Desktop mode, you can almost complete without the Windows 8-Kachelei and Wischerei use. Only the familiar start menu is missing - but with a few Tricks, it is easy back get.
