Apple TV reset to factory settings
Note: as an Alternative to the following instructions, you can turn your Apple TV via a USB cable to connect to the Computer and using iTunes as an iPhone or iPad to restore.
- Open the "settings" on the Apple TV and select the category "General".
- Note: On the new Apple TV 4 select instead of "General" and select "System".
- Scroll down and choose there "Reset" the Option "restore".
- Your Apple TV will now reset. The device then downloads the latest Firmware and installed it. Especially in the case of slower Internet speed, the process may take a little longer.
