Often subtitles run films slightly or highly asynchronous, you can solve this Problem in the VLC Media Player however. We will show you how to do it.

Subtitles in the VLC Media Player turn off sync

  1. Open the Video in VLC Media Player and click in the top menu bar on "tools" and select the "track synchronization".
  2. Under the "subtitles/Video" you will find the "subtitle synchronization". Here, you can now move the time display of the subtitles forward or backward. To do this, click on the arrow up or down (see image).
  3. You will appreciate this first in a value and click on the "Close" Button. You see now how in sync the subtitle runs. Repeat this process until the subtitle is out of sync to the sound.
Adjust subtitles in VLC Player
This practice tip was carried out with the Version 2.0.8 in Windows 8. As you subtitles in VLC enable and disable, read-in this practical tip.
