VLC: FPS show - how to

You want to find out the FPS of a video, you can display the Frames per Second with the VLC Player. How to do this, you will learn in this practical tip.

FPS-Rate in VLC Player

  1. Start the Video in VLC Player, the FPS-Rate want to learn.
  2. You then go to the top of the tab to "tools" > "Codec information" or press the key combination [Ctrl] + [J].
  3. Behind the "frame rate" you can now find the images per second.
  4. Note: Unfortunately, the FPS is not directly as an Overlay to the Video.
