Help with slow Uplay Downloads
- First, you should conduct a broadband speed test to make sure that their Internet connection currently is actually the expected speed. This is, for example, with our free DSL-Speedtest. Is your connection too slow, you can use these tips to follow.
- If you currently transfer data over the Internet, this can slow down the Download of Games in Uplay significantly. In this case, you have to pause all of the other Up - and Downloads to your PC and other computers in the network.
- The Uplay Client has an Option to limit the used bandwidth when Downloading Games and Updates. To set this Limit: Click on the Uplay Software, the top left of the Hamburger Icon, and then select "settings". Move the slider for the "bandwidth limit" to the right, the function off completely.
- Stop the Download in Uplay and restart it after a Moment again. With a bit of luck, the game will download faster now.
- Unfortunately, it often happens that the Download-Server of Ubisoft are overloaded, and games can be downloaded slowly. Especially shortly after the release of popular games Downloads work only with reduced speed. You then have no other choice than to wait patiently or to perform the Download at a later time.
