So, switch to a German keyboard-Layout
- You can open the console and enter the following command (without the quotation marks): "sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration".
- There is a window where you can set your keyboard settings to change opens. First select "Generic 105-key (Intl) PC" (see Screenshot).
- Next, you need to confirm "English" as the country of origin of the keyboard, and select the following menu of "English". The other settings leave as is.
