I need an Update? Java versions check
Open a Terminal window and type "java-version".
- Compare the information with the current Java Version.
- If your Version is out of date, you can start an Update.
Java update under Ubuntu
To perform the Update, open first Terminal window.
- Type the following command without quotes "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java".
- Then you run "sudo apt-get update" and get the Installer via "sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-installer".
- In the Terminal, then confirm with the Enter key, as soon as a "" is displayed on the screen.
- Then confirm the license agreement to start the Installation. This process takes a while.
