Ubuntu: hard drive mount

You want to mount a hard drive under Ubuntu automatically, you only need the correct configuration. We will show you how to do it.

Hard disk under Ubuntu mount

  1. Open the top left of the Dashboard and search for the category "drives".
  2. Select on the left side of the hard drive, as well as under the category "disk" the file system.
  3. Click below the Partition on the icon with the two little gears, and choose the Option "mount options"edit.
  4. Here you can activate the options "When you Start hanging" and "In the user interface view".
  5. You push up the Slider from "Off" to "on" and close the window with the "OK"Button.
  6. The next time you Start this hard drive will be mounted automatically. You can repeat this process for all other hard drives.
