To create templates for 3D printers
First of all, you need a CAD program that you use to create a 3D model of the object that you want to print.
- At best, it is recommended Solid Edge or Solid Works. Alternatively, you can also use the 3D Builder by Microsoft use.
- When you Create the 3D model, you can either create a two-dimensional drawing and then extruding, or directly in the 3D drawing. It is important that you do not over defined and under defined edges. This means that the Form should be completed at your drawing and there are no gaps, but also that the Form does not have several times drawn lines.
- You then export the 3D model as an STL file. Now you can with the Software Slic3r , the model in a G-Code convert. To do this, simply import the 3D model, and click "Slice with Slic3r". Some 3D printers have already supplied a Software, in the version of Slic3r is already integrated. For example, you can also use the 3D model directly in Repetier Host slicing.
