Skype: Problem with the recording device – so you can solve it
- Make sure that the microphone is properly connected to the PC.
- Then start Skype and at the top, click "actions" > "options".
- On the left, select the Option "audio settings" and make sure that you have selected the right devices.
- With a click on "Advanced settings" you can check whether your microphone is Skype-to-Skype in the first place. This is not the case, highlight it, and push it in the first place.
- Then start the Messenger new and check whether your microphone has been detected.
- If this is not the case, click with the right mouse button on the speaker icon down in the taskbar and select "recording devices".
- Here, your microphone must be enabled. No device is displayed, click with the right mouse button in the box and select "show Disabled devices".
- Now you can click with the right mouse button on your microphone and Enable "select".
