Photoshop - how to create a pattern

- First, open a new document by clicking "File" in the menu and then "New" in the submenu select. Set a small size, when you create your pattern: The larger your workspace, the more complex it is, that your pattern can be repeated seamlessly.
- In our example, we create a simple Grid. You open a 2x2 Pixel large work surface. Tip: you can work in spite of the small area carefully, you should set the view to at least 800 percent.
- Create a new layer and hide the Background layer.
- Select in the left tool bar of the "Pencil Tool" to draw precisely. Color in the lower left and the upper right Pixel in a colour of your choice.
- In the last step, the main menu, click on "Edit" and then "Define Pattern". You then give your pattern a name and confirm with "OK".
Photoshop - how to use your pattern
Double-click any layer in the "Layers"Box to the "Layer Style" menu. This offers you a variety of options to make single layers individually.
- Select the different "Styles" now "Pattern Overlay" and select your self-created pattern. Confirm with "OK" to apply the settings.
