Uninstall McAfee Security Center with obstacles
Unlike normal programs you can't uninstall under the Windows menu item "programs and features", the McAfee Security Center. To do this, you need one, McAfee published, program.
- The required Removal program you can find on CHIP. Download the program in the folder of your choice.
- If not already done: Check whether all McAfee Windows are closed. Thus you avoid that the Uninstallation can not be fully executed.
- Open the folder where you have downloaded the file above. Now, you must run the file "mcpr.exe" as an Administrator (right-click > "run as Administrator").
- You're almost there! Follow you agree with the instructions of the program (License and Captcha to enter). The program then uninstalled the McAfee Security Center.
- Finally, you need to restart your Computer to make the Changes to take effect.
