Master password in Firefox to set up - so it goes

With a Master password protect your Firefox Browser from unauthorized access. How to set up such a password, we will explain in this practical tip.

Master password in the Firefox Browser, set

  1. Click in the top right of the menu icon.
  2. Now open the settings by clicking on the "Gear"icon.
  3. Then go to the tab "security".
  4. You place a check mark in the "use Master password"
  5. In the opened window two Times your Master password, and confirm it via "OK".

Note: tip refers to Firefox 29.0. Every Time when you restart Firefox, and the Browser needs to have access to your saved passwords, you will be prompted for the Master password. When you exit the Firefox Browser and then disable the access again.
