We will show you what you can do if the jDownloader spits out an unpacking error.

So you can fix the unpacking error in JDownloader

  • Download the latest Version of JDownloader to download and use the Update function in the program (help → search updates).
  • Install the latest Java Runtime Environment for your PC.
  • Make sure that the specified directory exists to Extract, and that you have sufficient access rights on this (settings → archive unpacker → destination folder to Unzip it). If applicable, select a directory on a different hard drive.
  • Check if the to Extract the selected drive has sufficient free memory space is available.
  • It may also be that the file could not be error-free downloaded. Download the file, therefore, again, ideally from a different Download source.
  • You can unpack the files, of course, simply manually - if there is no error in the downloaded archive. You can use a program such as Bandizip or 7-Zip. You open the jDownloader then the settings and then remove the checkmark next to "archive unpackers".
