Internet Explorer: IE does not play Videos - you can do

The Internet Explorer is the default browser in Windows. The IE does not play Videos, not you may have installed the correct drivers. In this practice tip you, what you can do about it know.

Internet Explorer does not play Videos – it's

  • First make sure that you have the latest Version of IE installed on your PC have.
  • Videos in the Browser can be played back, you will need the latest Version of Adobe Flash.
  • Make sure that the Add-Ons are enabled. Click in IE to to "tools" > "Internet options" and then under "programs" on the "manage Add-Ons".
  • Make sure that the entry "Shockwave Flash Object" is set to "Enabled". This is not the case, click on the entry and then at the bottom right on the "Activate"button.
  • In some cases, it may help if you add the page to compatibility view. To do this, click on "tools" > "compatibility view settings" and under "website add" then"".
  • Possibly an ActiveX filtering is also active, which is why the Video can't be played. To disable this filtering, click the Gear and select "security" > "ActiveX filtering".
  • You can also try the Cache of IE or delete the Browser to default settings reset.
