Discord on Ubuntu install - how to
- Open your Ubuntumachine, run the Terminal and enter the command "sudo-i" to the Superuser. Enter your Root password when prompted.
- Now type the command "apt-get update". So the package lists are updated. Then type "apt-get upgrade" to upgrade your computer, and confirm with "Y". This step is not mandatory, but it hurt to bring before reinstalling the operating system and all programs up to date.
- Now the Download of Discord is: Type "wget -O discord.deb https://discordapp.com/api/download?platform=linux&format=deb" and wait until the package is fully downloaded.
- To install the Chat program, then tap "sudo dpkg-i /path/to/discord.deb" one. Confirm - if necessary - with the button "Y". Once the Installation is complete, tap "logout" followed by "exit" in the console to close the window. Now you can use Discord.
