For security reasons you should update your Linux Debian, and so up-to-date. You will learn here in this practice tip, how to use the System can update.

So you have to update your Debian System

To Update, you must run the supplied command line. Make sure beforehand that you are logged in as Admin.
  1. You have opened the command line, you can now start to update the System.
  2. To do this, enter the command "apt-get update" and confirm with [Enter].
  3. On some Linux systems, the command can be "apitude-get update".
  4. Read through the following instructions well. Some prompts require that you confirm with [y].
  5. Then the Download starts. Wait until this has been completed successfully.
  6. In connection, you must enter the command "apt-get upgrade" and press the [Enter] button to confirm, in order for the entire System, incl. all packages will be updated.
  7. Confirm again with [J] and wait until the Downloads have completed successfully.
  8. Once all Updates were installed successfully, you can close the console. For safety, you should start the System again.
