So you have to update your Debian System
To Update, you must run the supplied command line. Make sure beforehand that you are logged in as Admin.
- You have opened the command line, you can now start to update the System.
- To do this, enter the command "apt-get update" and confirm with [Enter].
- On some Linux systems, the command can be "apitude-get update".
- Read through the following instructions well. Some prompts require that you confirm with [y].
- Then the Download starts. Wait until this has been completed successfully.
- In connection, you must enter the command "apt-get upgrade" and press the [Enter] button to confirm, in order for the entire System, incl. all packages will be updated.
- Confirm again with [J] and wait until the Downloads have completed successfully.
- Once all Updates were installed successfully, you can close the console. For safety, you should start the System again.
