CRC-error when Unpacking archives fix
The following instructions only works with RAR files. You may have a bad ZIP file, it is worth to check the password, or the files to re-download.
- Download the program "WinRAR" download and install this. The program remains even after the end of the test phase, completely free of charge.
- Create a new folder on the Desktop and copy the faulty file(s).
- Click on the Windows key and "E", select the "C" drive, open the folder "programs" and search in the folder "WinRAR" to the file "WinRAR.exe". You have found the correct file, if this the program can start. You will have to copy this file and paste it into the new folder.
- Now press simultaneously the Windows key and "R", type "cmd" and click "OK". It is a black console window opens.
- Enter the following commands and press enter after each command to the "Enter"button (see image): first, "cd Desktop". Then "cd New folder". Finally, "rar e -kb TEST.rar". The word "TEST" must replace with the name of your RAR file.
- The contents of the archive were unpacked in the folder.
