Copy protection on DVDs deal - is that legal?
The copyright law States that copyright protection measures must not be circumvented. To copy a copy-protected DVD, therefore, is never legal.
- The text of the law of copyright is: "Effective technological measures for the protection of this law, the protected work or other under this act protected protected subject matter may not be circumvented without the consent of the right holder, to the extent that the Trade is not known, or the circumstances, should be known, that the circumvention takes place in order to allow the access to such a work or protected subject-matter or its use."
